setup guide

Link WhatsApp

This channel uses WhatsApp Web (linked device) — no API key, no Meta registration. After installing you scan a QR code, exactly like linking WhatsApp Web on the desktop.

1. Install

The fields below are optional — just install.

2. Scan the QR code

  1. After installing, open the plugin admin UI (connection status).
  2. A QR code appears.
  3. On your phone: WhatsApp → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device → scan the QR code.
  4. Wait for the connected status. The bot now shows up under Linked Devices with the device name set above.

⚠️ Note: this is an unofficial WhatsApp Web client (Baileys), not the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Prefer a dedicated, separate number — excessive automation can be restricted by WhatsApp.

3. Limit the reach (optional)

Ignore groups keeps the bot silent in groups; the allowlist restricts it to specific phone numbers (E.164, e.g. 491701234567).
